Responsibilities
Review returned closing packages and incoming documents for completeness and accuracy
Open new files and create/maintain records when orders are received
Prepare and file Notices of Settlement and other required post-closing filings
Order title rundowns and cover records as needed for post-closing and policy production
Prepare final title policies and assemble supporting documentation
Fund loans after closing, ensuring required conditions are satisfied and properly documented
Track due dates and follow up on missing items to keep workflows moving
Maintain clear file notes and update internal systems for status, next steps, and completion
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
Comfortable working with deadlines and handling multiple files at once
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong communication skills and professional phone/email etiquette
Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
Preferred
Prior experience in a law firm, title company, mortgage servicing, or real estate office
Familiarity with title terminology (policies, rundowns, recordings)
Experience using case management or document management software
