The Staff Development RN will lead training programs, provide field training and support, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards in hospice care.

Responsibilities
Lead orientation, training, and ongoing staff development across core hospice competencies
Coordinate in-service programs and competency-based training of direct care team members at the time of hire and annually thereafter, including Hospice Aide training consistent with CFR 418.76
Serve as a resource to hospice team members, communicating education changes in regulatory requirements
Provide individualized field training, coaching, and real-time support to clinical staff in patient homes, the hospice residence, and other care settings
Conduct direct observation of care delivery to assess competency, reinforce best practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
Develop and implement targeted remediation plans when gaps are identified, offering compassionate guidance to strengthen skills and promote excellence in mission-driven hospice care
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan required
2-4 years of hospice nursing experience required
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance
Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Clinical instruction experience
“Train the Trainer” certification
CPR instructor
Michigan skilled nursing facility experience
