Responsibilities
Provides marketing functional services to designated strategic business units. Develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive marketing program in support of MWR programs, services, facilities, and activities
Analyzes programs by on-site review of merchandising, displays, customer service and finances. Evaluates program strengths and weaknesses and makes recommendations for improvements. Determines optimum marketing mix to achieve objectives
Identifies publicity and advertising needs. Designs promotional campaigns. Evaluates advertising and publicity efforts. Assists in developing major special events and promotions
Develops sponsorship and advertising proposals. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated related work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position
Work experience must have been equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level
Ability to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel
Completion of the requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in marketing, advertising or closely related field
Ability to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
A one-year probationary period may be required
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Business operations are Monday-Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm, but is subject to change and will be based on the needs of the activity. Nights, weekends and holidays are required during MWR events
Preferred
A minimum of one year experience using Adobe CS4 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign) or similar software
A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Interactive and Virtual Digital Communications or similar field
