Responsibilities
Help define the clinical foundation for UltraBeing’s mental and metabolic health approach
Build and curate an evidence base we can trust and use in product decisions
Translate research into high level clinical protocols and safety guardrails that guide how the product guides users
Define what good looks like for clinical quality, and what is unsafe or out of scope
Review our health guidance for clinical soundness and clarity, and propose improvements in plain English
Partner closely with founders to make clinical reasoning practical and user friendly in the product
Stay current on the field and flag important new evidence that should change our approach
Qualification
Required
Clinically trained physician or late stage medical trainee with meaningful patient exposure, with the ability to think in protocols, safety, and evidence
We are especially excited about: psychiatrists, endocrinologists, psychiatry residents, medical doctors with meaningful mental health exposure, and clinicians working at the intersection of brain and metabolism
Also welcome: primary care physicians (GPs), internal medicine physicians, endocrinology trainees, and senior medical students who have strong clinical reasoning and excellent writing
Evidence minded and clear thinking: you can read studies critically, spot weak claims, and communicate nuance without overclaiming
Ability to translate clinical judgement into structured guidance a product team can use
Strong writing: practical, simple, not academic fluff
High ownership and reliability: you take a messy problem, produce a clean output, and follow through
Comfortable working directly with founders in a fast moving environment with ambiguity
Curious about metabolic psychiatry and willing to learn quickly, even if you have not worked in it before
Preferred
Prior exposure to metabolic psychiatry, or a strong interest in learning it as a clinical framework
Experience creating or improving clinical protocols, guidelines, or structured care pathways
Research experience such as literature reviews, evidence synthesis, publications, or clinical projects
Interest in digital health and product work, translating clinical judgement into something users can actually follow
Curiosity about how AI systems are evaluated and made safer, including quality checks and failure modes
