Responsibilities
Serve as the professional face and lens of the BBB. You will be active on-site, documenting high-quality photography and videography that highlights the vitality of our community
Utilize generative AI tools to streamline editing, captioning, and scheduling. By automating technical tasks, you will maximize your time for face-to-face interaction and organic storytelling
Manage social media and Google My Business accounts with a human-first approach, fostering genuine relationships through active social listening and professional dialogue
Apply industry best practices to ensure all content—from partnership highlights to calls to action—is visually compelling, relevant, and aligned with brand standards
Support our podcast productions by capturing behind-the-scenes moments that elevate our guests and extend the reach of our audio content
Write engaging, human-toned copy for newsletters and articles. Use modern digital tools to optimize for search and reach while maintaining a distinct, authentic voice
Execute email campaigns that inspire action and promote the value of BBB accreditation and events with a clear, professional voice
Maintain the editorial calendar, ensuring social, email, and podcast schedules remain synchronized and impactful
Ensure all content remains high-quality, on-brand, and adheres to the BBB’s rigorous ethical standards
Stay proactive in exploring emerging digital tools and creative trends to keep our content delivery efficient and effective
Qualification
Required
Interpersonal Skills: A natural ability to build professional rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders, from small business owners to corporate leaders
Visual Storytelling: Proficiency in photography and mobile videography, with a keen eye for composition and framing in a fast-paced environment
Technical Proficiency: A workflow optimization mindset with documented comfort using digital tools (including generative AI) to enhance writing and creative output
Professional Communicator: Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone across B2B and B2C platforms
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, social media management, or brand communications
Logistics: Ability to attend occasional evening/weekend events and travel across the region as needed to capture campus activity
Preferred
Experience with content creation tools (e.g., video editing software, graphic design tools, AI content generation)
Experience with social media analytics and reporting
A strong understanding of digital marketing principles
A keen sense of trends and the ability to quickly capitalize on them while maintaining brand authenticity
Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)
