Start in 2026A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated Transportation Engineer Intern to join their engineering team in Columbus, OH for the 2026 internship period. The successful candidate will support various project tasks under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders, with opportunities for field assignments and potential transition to a Full-Time Junior Engineer Role upon graduation.

Responsibilities
Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support, etc
Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation
Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients
May work on field assignments as needed
Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates; and
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years old
Pursuing Bachelor or Associates Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, detail oriented person
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
Preferred
Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCAD, MathCAD, Bentley Microstation, etc.) is preferred but not required
