Responsibilities
This role is a hands-on product security engineering position supporting the Cytology division within group
The security engineer will act as a technical lead, not a manager, and will be responsible for driving cybersecurity across the full product development lifecycle
This includes pre-market activities such as requirements development, architecture review, threat modeling, risk assessment, design input, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, composition analysis, and verification and validation
It also includes post-market cyber responsibilities such as ensuring secure update support and protecting released systems from cybersecurity threats
The ideal candidate must be highly technical and capable of working across software, systems, hardware, networking, and device-level security
They must be able to review and influence software and system architecture and ensure cybersecurity is incorporated early using a layered security approach
They need to read and apply technical standards and regulatory expectations including IEC, ISO, and FDA-related requirements
They must be able to take regulatory and standards-based requirements and translate them into actual technical controls implemented on the device
Qualification
Required
Hands-on product security engineering experience
Technical lead experience in cybersecurity
Experience driving cybersecurity across the full product development lifecycle
Experience with pre-market activities such as requirements development, architecture review, threat modeling, risk assessment, design input, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, composition analysis, and verification and validation
Post-market cyber responsibilities experience including secure update support and protecting released systems from cybersecurity threats
Highly technical with capability across software, systems, hardware, networking, and device-level security
Ability to review and influence software and system architecture
Experience incorporating cybersecurity early using a layered security approach
Ability to read and apply technical standards and regulatory expectations including IEC, ISO, and FDA-related requirements
Ability to translate regulatory and standards-based requirements into actual technical controls implemented on the device
