Responsibilities
Generate, maintain, and validate 3D scanning programs using Zeiss Inspect 3D software
Provide 3D analysis support to Manufacturing Engineers and train operators on new or improved processes
Deliver daily shop-floor support, including 3D scanning and troubleshooting
Develop and maintain workstation instructions and methods for 3D scanning machines
Lead and support process improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed, fast-paced manufacturing environment
Support continuous improvement and change initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or Machinist Apprentice with 3+ years of dimensional inspection experience
High School Diploma with 6+ years of dimensional inspection experience
3+ years of hands-on experience with Zeiss Inspect and Airfoil (GOM) software
Preferred
Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5M – 2009 preferred)
Experience programming and operating manual and automated 3D scanning equipment
Exposure to point cloud processing and mesh generation
Experience with inspection data analysis and report generation
Familiarity with robotic integration for automated inspection
Experience working with solid models (NX preferred)
Background in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Experience with PC-DMIS, VXelements, Control X, Geomagic, or Creaform tools
Programming exposure (e.g., VBA, Python)
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and shop math skills (geometry & trigonometry)
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Experience with Aerospace or Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine components
Flexibility to support off-shifts or swing shifts as needed
