Responsibilities
Architect end-to-end DLP platforms, including control/data planes, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with SIEM, IAM, CASB, email gateways, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Define and maintain DLP policies, classifiers (regex, EDM, fingerprinting, ML/AI), and rules for channels like USB, print, web, email, and cloud storage
Lead solution selection, PoCs, deployments, and migrations (e.g., Symantec/Broadcom, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, Netskope, Zscaler, Palo Alto)
Collaborate with legal, privacy, compliance, and IT teams to align with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, SOX) and establish metrics, dashboards, and incident response workflows
Document designs (logical/physical diagrams, standards), conduct reviews, optimize for performance/false positives, and mentor DLP engineers/analysts
Drive continuous improvement through risk assessments, threat modeling, and emerging tech evaluations (e.g., GenAI for classification)
Qualification
Required
10+ years in cybersecurity, including 4+ years in DLP architecture/engineering with hands-on experience in 2+ major platforms
Expertise in DLP techniques (content inspection, context-aware detection) and integrations with security stacks (SIEM/SOAR, EDR, proxies)
Strong knowledge of data privacy regs, cloud security, and distributed systems design for high-scale, low-latency environments
Excellent communication for executive briefings, design docs, and cross-functional influence
