Business Development Specialist
Trident Safety USA is seeking a highly specialized and driven individual for the role of Business Development Specialist. This position focuses on leveraging regulatory expertise into strategic B2B sales, driving market share, and building lasting industry partnerships within the dangerous goods regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
Use your expertise to identify, research, and proactively pursue new business opportunities, focusing on high-value clients (shippers, carriers, logistics providers)
Develop and execute strategic sales plans that translate regulatory challenges into compelling, tailored service solutions
Build and maintain long-term relationships
Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure flawless service delivery
Stay ahead of evolving DG regulations, competitor activities, and market trends to uncover new opportunities
Qualification
Required
Regulatory Authority Experience: A background in a government or state agency directly overseeing or enforcing Dangerous Goods (DG) or Hazardous Materials (HazMat) regulations
Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrable experience in business development, or a related field, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Communication Mastery: Exceptional ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to business leaders, coupled with strong presentation and negotiation skills
Self-Driven: Proven ability to work independently, manage a territory efficiently, and drive results
