Corporate Synergies is part of Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, and they are seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. The Financial Analyst supports the Controller with month-end reporting, financial analysis, and special projects across multiple entities, while also maintaining financial data and assisting with statement analysis.

Responsibilities

Assist with month‑end close and preparation of financial management reports
Analyze income statements and balance sheets, identifying trends and anomalies
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support ongoing financial workflows
Learn key accounting workstreams (AR, AP, direct bill, etc.) and understand how transactions impact financial statements
Partner with the Controller and team to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly results
Progress toward handling standard reporting and analysis independently within 3–6 months

Required

Strong Excel skills and ability to communicate analysis clearly
Understanding of GAAP and general accounting workflows
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and work independently over time
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn tools like PowerPoint, Access, or Visio

Preferred

Experience with Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar systems is a plus
Flexibility during month‑end and budget cycles
