Responsibilities
Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams, including maintenance and operations personnel, by collaborating on the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of equipment and system issues
Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth
Assist in the development of design standards, design builds, design reviews and new tools used in modernization
Support department code compliance activities and Power Generation Standards (review, development and implementation)
Evaluate innovative and practical design solutions for the project with a focus on cost reductions, availability, safety and reliability
Program PLCs, RTUs and HMIs for control of generation equipment including dams and conveyance systems
Perform commissioning on modernization systems of generation facilities
Develop criteria and requirements for the development of the SDCC, Test documents, and witness FAT (factory acceptance tests) and bench testing of PLC-based generation systems
Develop engineering and construction documents System Design & Control Criteria (SDCC), specifications, construction drawings, Bill of Material, Description of Operations, P&IDs, startup procedures and related
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Engineering-Electrical or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Job-related technical experience, 3 years
Job-related experience, 1 year
Preferred
Job-related experience, 8 years
EIT-Engineer in Training certification
PE-Professional Engineer license
