Responsibilities
Performing monthly and fiscal year-end close activities by performing timely and accurate journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate
Preparing and analyzing financial statements, general ledgers, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
Owns performing account and bank statement reconciliations. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, as well as forecasting future expenditures
Supporting a variety of external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
May lead accounts payable process to ensure proper coding and receipt of all invoices
Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology and process improvements
Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting
Must have at least 3 years' experience in accounting
Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills and an advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
Managing a high volume of tasks and meet strict deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication is important for interacting with internal and external contacts
Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), standards and regulation
