Dierbergs Markets is seeking a Retail Recruiter to enhance the candidate experience during the hiring process. The role involves managing the recruitment cycle, building relationships with management teams, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

Responsibilities
Support and reinforce Dierbergs’ purpose – Grow Every Day while reinforcing the CPR model (Character → Process → Result)
Develop strong working partnerships with Store/Satellite Directors and Management Teams to understand business objectives and candidate requirements
Conduct regular follow-up with Store/Satellite Directors to determine recruiting effectiveness and forecast future openings
Communicate with Associates regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and identify qualified candidates
Serve as the first point of contact for candidates, offering a professional experience from application through hiring
Ensure consistent, clear, and timely communication with candidates at all stages
Provide an exceptional experience by setting clear expectations and offering a transparent process
Assist with planning and execution of college, high school, and community recruiting initiatives
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
Screen resumes, conduct initial screens, and manage interviews
Conduct interviews and provide documented notes
Partner with hiring managers to make informed hiring decisions
Evaluate and select candidates in a timely manner
Oversee maintenance of job postings and recruitment signage
Promote the company’s brand and culture to potential hires
Able to appropriately challenge norms and promote new staffing approaches
Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires
Assist with new Associate orientations (evening rotation required)
Ensure new hires feel informed and prepared for their first day
Provide ongoing support during transition into the company
Monitor key recruitment metrics including time-to-fill and retention
Continuously refine strategies based on feedback and data
Collaborate with business partners to forecast staffing needs
Qualification
Required
Strong commitment to candidate experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with ATS and job boards
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Self-directed, proactive, and solution oriented
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able to travel between locations
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field preferred
Experience in high-volume recruiting, preferably retail
