Responsibilities

Manage all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits
Oversee open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications, system configuration, and vendor coordination
Partner with brokers and consultants to evaluate plan design, manage renewals, and control healthcare costs
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure benefit programs remain compliant and competitive
Develop and deliver clear, ongoing employee communications regarding benefit options, changes, and enrollment processes
Serve as the internal subject matter expert for benefits policies, procedures, and eligibility rules
Lead, mentor, and develop benefits team members
Foster a collaborative, efficient, and service-oriented work environment
Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within benefits administration
Support performance management, coaching, and professional development for team members
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state benefits-related regulations, including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and state leave laws
Prepare and submit required benefits-related regulatory filings and reports, including Form 5500 and ACA reporting
Coordinate benefits audits and support internal or external compliance reviews
Maintain accurate documentation, policies, and procedures related to benefit plans
Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators
Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and performance metrics
Evaluate vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence
Partner with vendors to resolve escalated employee issues, compliance matters, and system enhancements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of benefits administration experience, preferably supporting a multi-state workforce
Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements
Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration platforms (ADP, Workday, Dayforce, or similar)
Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred

HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
