Responsibilities
Supporting key R&D development projects with customers
Developing creative solutions for security features by combining knowledge of materials, spectroscopy and manufacturing processes
Leading and managing specific deliverables assigned to them
Supporting technical issues that arise in STA’s portfolio of products
Qualification
Required
Position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with 0 years of experience in industrial product development or a Master's in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in product development
Knowledge of inorganic synthesis and characterization
Synthetic expertise in nanoparticles, nanomaterials and/or quantum dots a plus
Expertise in measuring and interpreting material luminescent and plasmonic properties
Expertise in multiple spectroscopic techniques
Strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation
Strong knowledge of safety awareness
Ability to manage team activities
Ability to connect customer needs to technical solutions
Ability to communicate effectively to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
Strong organizational and technical writing skills
Ability to add to STA's IP portfolio
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance
Must be a US Citizen
