They are seeking a Software Engineer I to join their Electro-Optical & Infrared Solutions Engineering Team, where the role involves developing and implementing software for real-time applications and supporting various aspects of the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

Supports all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team. This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking
Uses and provides creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems
Works closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related (STEM) discipline
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience
Experience developing software with C, C++, or Java
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory)
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications
Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to complex technical problems
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning, cross-team collaboration and training
