Responsibilities
Performing design, integration, and testing of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field infrastructure
Performing traffic engineering, traffic impact analysis, and video transmission and distribution
Designing smart cities infrastructure for fiber and wireless communications, and fiber optic design including outside plant and structure cabling
Using connected and autonomous vehicle technology within ITS design
Utilizing Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and Integrated Corridor Management (ICM)
Performing ITS design including ITS device placement i.e. Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Lane Control Signs (LCS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Weigh-in-Motion (WIM), Lidar, Vehicle Detection Stations (VDS) and Communication network; and
Costing and estimating ITS Systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ITS and Communications Systems Design, or Civil Engineering, or related field
4 years of experience
Performing design, integration, and testing of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field infrastructure
Performing traffic engineering, traffic impact analysis, and video transmission and distribution
Designing smart cities infrastructure for fiber and wireless communications, and fiber optic design including outside plant and structure cabling
