Lead engineers and personally own the mechanical design for production equipment used in a manufacturing environment
Design, release, and support real machines or equipment in production
Clear ownership of mechanical designs from concept → detailed design → build → production support
Review builds, debug issues, and make real-time design decisions on the factory floor
Qualification
Required
7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in manufacturing or equipment-based environments
Prior experience leading engineers while remaining hands-on in design
Clear ownership of mechanical designs from concept → detailed design → build → production support
Strong background in mechanism and system-level design
Strong background in GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
Strong background in materials and manufacturing processes
Comfortable being onsite, reviewing builds, debugging issues, and making real-time design decisions on the factory floor
High accountability mindset — you've owned designs that had to work, not just look good on paper
Preferred
Experience in high-automation or high-throughput manufacturing
Exposure to machine design, tooling, fixtures, or production equipment
Regular collaboration with controls / PLC / electrical engineering teams
Background in environments where design decisions directly impact uptime, yield, or throughput
