Senior Product Manager

Responsibilities
Ensure product strategy and requirements are designed with long-term vision in mind
Work with stakeholders to define product requirements, including the articulation of clear, thorough and detailed features for complex payment products
Collaborate with and inspire the engineering teams to build secure, reliable and scalable payment solutions
Partner with business operations, Sales teams, Account executives, Technical account managers, analytics, 3rd party acquirers to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that delight customers
Work very closely with product development and QA organizations to ensure technical specifications and the final product meet business requirements
Ensure the solution is aligned with acquirer needs and specifically lead the certification/accreditation effort with acquirer processors
Generate feedback from stakeholders, run pilots with merchants and acquirer partners, focus on continuous improvement
Champion the product and the product team to internal and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Background in the Payments space
Familiarity with current industry development in Financial Services and the Payments industry space
Exceptional organizational skills
Written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and structured thinker
Ability to think broadly about Visa's business and drive the expansion of the Visa Acceptance Payments platform
Demonstrated expertise in contributing to medium to large cross-functional projects
Hands-on person with proven ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with both business and technology executives
Highly effective working both independently and in cross-functional capacities
Ability to identify, define, analyze, prioritize and refine technology requirements across all categories
Skilled at forging strong partnerships with customers, business sponsors and developers
Ability to define features and user journeys to support the development process
Ability to address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs
Ability to balance the business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit
Strong Agile expertise to collaborate with Scrum teams and communicate requirements to development teams for execution and implementation
Preferred
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
10-15 years of overall industry experience within a technology environment, with a track record of successfully delivering complex software systems or services
At least 8+ years of experience specifically in Payment Gateway space
Experience working on various alternative payment methods like credit and debit cards, SEPA, Electronic Check, Alternate payments like Klarna, PayPal, Alipay etc
Experience working with major card networks like Visa, Mastercard, American Express etc
Knowledge of 3DSecure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard Secure Code, American Express Safe Key, JCB Secure etc.)
Knowledge of full transaction lifecycle, from initiation, authorization, settlement, chargeback, and reporting
Hands on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
Experience of direct customer interaction, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable items, such as features and stories, that an engineering team can implement
Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels
Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, executives, product, and technology stakeholders
Strong internal & external stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating in a matrix setup
Solid business acumen and Strong customer centric mindset
Proficiency working in an agile environment
Experience demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation, and accountability
Fast learner in both technical and business domains
