Responsibilities

Complying with SOPs and work instructions related to job function
Meeting performance standards to ensure output positively contributes to area specific KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
Participating in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Working collaboratively with peers and internal customers
Setting up and operating a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines
Conducting manual production operations as required
Performing daily 5s and PM of equipment and surrounding areas as required
Verifying BOMs, programming requirements, product types, artwork and markings
Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance
Proactively logging and escalating potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and / or operational inefficiencies
Participating in root cause, corrective / preventive action activities as required
Understanding workload for the day and defining the shift hours based on demand
Ensuring all Machine Operators have the right material and paperwork for them to perform their job correctly
Ensuring Order Management process is executed correctly in order to achieve the daily Delivery/Efficiency targets
Acting as the point of contact in between production and support areas to resolve day-to-day operational issues

Required

Must have a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent
Must possess the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail
Must have flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift
Requires the ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment
Accepts and embraces constant change as a necessary factor to success
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc
