Responsibilities

Lead at least one project to completion throughout the internship duration
Execute daily tasks that contribute to the overall success of the ME Department, including but not limited to equipment troubleshooting, product changeover, P&ID markups, job plan revision, Kneat protocol review, and work order review
Train within a GMP environment and develop a strong understanding of the biotechnology organization
Practice and reinforce safety principles on and off the manufacturing floor
Work under the supervision of technically focused Engineers within the Manufacturing Engineering Downstream group
Collaborate with engineering team members and cross-functional support groups to prioritize and optimize manufacturing deliverables
Contribute to the upkeep of Manufacturing Engineering departmental success
Explore process improvement opportunities around large-scale chromatography flowrates during low flow steps
Consolidate equipment capabilities, specifications, information for large-scale manufacturing equipment
Refine cleaning validation and commissioning templates on Kneat

Required

Legal authorization to work in the U.S
At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship
Pursuing a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related Engineering disciplines
Proficient in MS office programs & technical writing
Able to work on multiple projects and tasks within the same timeframe
A self-starter who is not afraid to take initiative
An excellent communicator
Willing to learn new skills and to keep an open mind
Able to field high-stress situations
Highly attentive to detail for troubleshooting and document review

Preferred

Candidates who are currently enrolled in college that have an anticipated Winter 2026, Spring 2027, or Winter 2027 graduation date are preferred
