Responsibilities
Implement UI/UX designs and other front-end components ensuring that the user experience is intuitive and effective for operational users
Develop and implement user interfaces for web-based GIS applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging analyst user experience
Ensure that newly developed components and features adhere to our design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across applications
Thoroughly test and review code and make sure it meets acceptance criteria
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI required (willing to obtain CI poly)
Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years of relevant software development experience
Strong JavaScript proficiency (Vue, React, Angular) with experience in modern software development, CI/CD pipeline integration, and deployment
Agile development experience using Jira
Experience working with geospatial data (multiple coordinate systems, projections, formats)
Proficient with Git version control, peer code reviews, and collaborating effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience leading in an agile development environment as a product owner or scrum master
Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar is a bonus as UI/UX design work is done in collaboration with frontend developers
Experience with automated end-to-end testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Loki
