Responsibilities
Support retail pharmacies with confidence: Serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy staff, providing accurate patient and benefit information
Resolve claim rejections: Research and troubleshoot prescription claim issues, guiding pharmacies through resolution steps to ensure timely medication access
Answer pharmacy inquiries directly: Respond to retail pharmacies regarding patient eligibility, benefit coverage, and prior authorization requirements
Document interactions in real time: Capture all details accurately during calls to maintain compliance and ensure seamless follow-up
Escalate complex issues appropriately: Identify situations requiring additional support and route them to the correct team for resolution
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED (required)
1+ year of relevant experience in Customer Service required
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general PC skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience handling pharmacy benefit inquiries and claim troubleshooting
Ability to troubleshoot claims rejections and pharmacy concerns and guide Pharmacists through resolution steps
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Preferred
6 months+ of Pharmacy Help Desk knowledge preferred
