Lead Materials Handler

Responsibilities

Leads a crew to accomplish assigned projects and daily operational functions
Ensures awareness of trade techniques and practices
Demonstrates proper work methods and works along with others
Provides staff with daily tasks and follows up to confirm completion
Checks work while in progress and when finished
Discusses with supervisor the training requirements, problems and other issues
Assists in developing plans for storage and arrangement of stock
Advises workers on guidelines or special instruction to meet deadlines
Consolidates materials to provide maximum space utilization and protection of materials
Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials
Serves as a senior member of the warehouse project team when involved with special projects
Performs other related duties as assigned
