Assistant Transportation Engineer - Bridge Program
The State of Maine's Department of Transportation is seeking an Assistant Transportation Engineer to support the construction and maintenance of public works structures. The role involves inspecting and documenting work performed by contractors on bridge projects, as well as testing materials used in construction.

Responsibilities
Interpreting the plans and specifications that relate to the project
Performing inspection and measurement of the work
Record-keeping on, and testing of, the materials used by the contractor
Performing other selected tasks related to projects
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field –OR- non-engineering college graduates and non-degreed candidates must possess a Certification of Engineer-Intern as issued by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers
Non-degreed candidates must possess Certification as Engineer Intern issued by the Maine State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers
