Responsibilities
Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices and manufacturing methods (machining, tooling, gaging) in broad areas of assignments
Applies advanced techniques and modifies theories, processes, and/or practices within the scope of assignment
Works independently, exercising a good deal of judgment. Receives guidance only on overall objectives and policy matters
Works closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve process problems related to machinery testing and/or gaging. (Spends approximately 40% of time on the shop floor.)
May functionally supervise technicians and less experienced engineers. Schedules and assigns work to meet the target date and checks progress on a continual basis
May be required to perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must display a high level of maturity and sound judgment
Attention to detail and solid organization skills required
Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related fields
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and/or related area
