MGR I R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEERING

Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle R&D activities—from requirements and design inputs to prototyping, verification, validation, and design transfer
Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalable production
Drive materials selection, tooling strategy, and process development with a focus on high-performance metals
Develop DOE, & FMEA protocols for metal components and integrated assemblies
Lead quoting efforts, working closely with Product Management and Sales to support proposals and early customer engagement
Maintain high-quality documentation including DHFs in alignment with ISO 13485
Build strong relationships with OEM customers, contract manufacturers, and suppliers
Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians to strengthen team capability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience developing medical device components, with emphasis on metal components
Strong knowledge of metal processing, laser processing, and related manufacturing technologies
Proven success bringing components from concept through design controls and commercialization
Understanding of biocompatibility, sterilization, and mechanical performance testing
Experience in catheter-based, electrophysiology, vascular access, or minimally invasive device applications is a strong plus
Effective communicator with leadership presence and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment

Experience with Class II and III medical devices or implantable components
Skilled with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) and CAD review for tooling or component design
Familiarity with DFM principles and stage-gate development processes
