Sonoma County Regional Parks Department is seeking a Marina Secretary to provide customer service and administrative support at Spud Point Marina. The role involves greeting customers, answering inquiries, preparing deposits, and supporting marina staff with various tasks.

Responsibilities

As the Marina Secretary you will help provide a positive and safe experience for the customers at Spud Point Marina
This position is a public-facing customer service and administrative support role for all office operations at the Marina
In addition to greeting customers and corresponding via email, this position is responsible for:
Answering questions from the public and internal departments via phone and in person
Preparing deposits to the bank for various intake of marina fees, and/or other park-related sales (such as annual Regional Parks passes), etc
Running monthly customer and vacancy reports
Supporting marina staff including the supervisor with meeting agendas and notes

Required

Any combination of education, vocational training and work experience which provides the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed
Normally, formal coursework in secretarial skills and three or more years of general clerical work experience which includes working with personal computers will provide this opportunity
The ability to type accurately at the rate of 45 words per minute is required
Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate level including special endorsements, as required by the State of California, may be required depending upon assignment to perform the essential job functions of the position

Preferred

Experience with tracking and compiling data for reports
A passion for connecting people to parks and the outdoors
A positive and adaptable mindset and be self-motivated and goal-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems by using critical thinking skills and business acumen
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
