Junior Aerodynamics Engineer

Wind Tunnel Operations
Understanding of Aerodynamics theory
Understanding of experimental methods and analysis
Experience with Wind Tunnel testing
Collect, process, and interpret test data accurately
Prefer experience with National Instruments
Understanding of computational fluid dynamics principles for collaboration with simulation teams
Experience with Star CCM+ or Altair CFD preferred
Familiarity with pressure taps, load cells, and flow measurement devices preferred
Ability to handle test rigs, fixtures, and troubleshoot/repair basic mechanical issues
Basic aptitude of simple control electronics; steppers, motors, sensors, Etc
Basic skills in CAD software for component visualization and test setup
Experience with Creo Preferred
Familiarity with below environments is preferred
MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW
Arduino
Solid understanding of structural mechanics and numerical methods to facilitate effective communication with the structural simulation team
Familiarity with Hypermesh or the Altair suite is a plus
Strong theoretical foundations and ability to apply analytical, paper-and-pencil approaches
Skilled at breaking down complex technical challenges into manageable components
Maintain precision in measurements, documentation, and reporting
Work effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Quickly shift between wind tunnel and CFD-related tasks as priorities change
Apply analytical thinking and practical approaches to resolve technical challenges efficiently
Deliver clear, concise reports and articulate findings effectively, both verbally and in writing
Strong drive for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies
Anticipate issues and take initiative to develop solutions before problems escalate
Enthusiasm for riding and understanding the performance aspects of bicycles is highly valued

Required
Wind Tunnel Operations
Understanding of Aerodynamics theory
