Responsibilities
Lead a talented team of civil/structural engineers and designers, driving the department towards excellence in every project, securing and executing projects that enhance our infrastructure
Manage and oversee the preparation and administration of contract documents and correspondence with clients
Review all civil/structural design documentation and ensure that it is correct to a high degree of accuracy, suitable for construction and in accordance with all relevant standards
Manages team and assigns tasks to engineering personnel
Demonstrate strong leadership skills to lead teams in the development of new products, make strategic decisions and effectively manage projects while promoting a positive, collaborative work environment
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, decision-making ability and emotional intelligence
Communicate with various levels of management, create and manage budgets, report on projects and initiatives
Check and verify accuracy of drawings prepared by others
Must have vast experience in the design of various foundation systems; steel, concrete & masonry framed buildings & structures
Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria
Represents respective projects at meetings
Plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for a project of significant size and complexity or two or more projects of moderate size and complexity
Provides conceptual design input for preliminary project estimates
Qualification
Required
10+ years of civil/structural experience
Diversified knowledge of design engineering principles and practices
Adept at project management
Understanding how to plan, execute and deliver projects within scope and budget
Designing and overseeing projects
Managing finances and supervising one or more engineering teams
Strong leadership skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Registered as a Licensed Professional Engineer
Experience with AutoCad and Advanced Steel/or 3D Design Software
Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations
