Junior Technical Analyst
Contrail Aviation Support is a global leader in the aviation aftermarket, specializing in the trading, leasing, and management of aircraft engines, modules, and parts. The Junior Technical Analyst role is designed for candidates passionate about aviation, offering hands-on experience in aircraft engine analysis and data-driven decision-making while supporting technical evaluations and operational decision-making related to aircraft engines and components.
Responsibilities
Conduct technical analysis of aircraft engines, modules, and components to support acquisition and leasing decisions
Review, validate, and document technical data with exceptional accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Maintain and analyze technical records, shop visit data, maintenance history, and component lifecycles
Collaborate with the VP of Technical and cross-functional teams including sales, quality assurance, and operations
Support internal valuation, financial modeling, and reporting efforts using Excel and internal tools
Continuously develop knowledge of aviation assets, maintenance requirements, industry standards, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Strong interest in aviation, aerospace engineering, or technical analysis
Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking - accuracy is critical in this role
Ability to manage time and tasks independently with strong organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Teams and Excel
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
Preferred
1-3 years of relevant experience; up to 5 years acceptable - no prior experience required, fresh graduates encouraged to apply
Aviation-focused academic background (Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Mechanical Engineering, or similar)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and modeling
Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, etc
Previous internship or coursework related to aviation, aerospace systems, or technical analysis
