Responsibilities

Answers Help Desk line and monitors Support ticket requests
Assists with dispatching duties and end user support
Assists in the implementation, documentation, modification and maintenance of PC hardware and software in response to needs and requests
Assists with technology hardware inventory and tracking
Assists with the implementation and support of software applications
Assists with end-user computer training
Performs periodic system maintenance functions as apparent or assigned
Operates and supports a variety of equipment used in the office including printers, multi-function devices and label makers
Purchases office supplies and computer equipment with a city-issued purchasing card as directed
May enter purchase requisitions into the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning system
May perform administrative tasks such as data entry
May purchase refreshments for training sessions and business meetings
Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent or assigned

Required

Ability to communicate effectively with employees and the general public, both orally and in writing
Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating system, and common software applications
Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
Good mathematical aptitude, organizational and administrative support skills
Excellent communication and client support skills
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
Ability to work under minimal supervision
High School graduate or equivalent
One year of experience in Information Technology support role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn specific software programs
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Valid driver's license
Work overtime when assigned as well as working various shifts and schedules when necessary

Preferred

Two years post-high school education
General office support experience
Additional years of Information Technology support experience
Experience with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Teams, or Mobile Technologies

Benefits

Ongoing Part-Time employees who are employed for more than 6 months will make contributions to the pension program (PERA) through payroll deductions unless they qualify for one of the exemptions.
Part-Time may receive Paid-time Off (PTO) at rate outlined in employee handbook and eligible for paid parental leave after 6 months of employment.
