The Sr. Commercial Credit Underwriter evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit, determines credit worthiness, and provides guidance to other Credit Underwriters.

Responsibilities

Works independently analyzing complex loan data and financial information on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions and Bank files
Completes Credit Memo/Underwriting of requests for commercial credit, remote deposit capture, and ACH customers with the Bank
Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for Bank Officers on new, renewal and existing loans
Receivable and other information on customer accounts. Performs quarterly financial reviews identifying possible negative trends
Assigns risk ratings to each borrower of the bank
Provides technical support to loan officers and other credit underwriters
Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting
Three or more years of commercial credit analysis experience
Strong financial analytical abilities; detailed oriented
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly learn and properly use various software programs
