The intern will receive training in Operations and Campaign Analysis simulation environments and will assist in model development and data processing to support critical contracts.

Responsibilities
Build familiarity with key M&S environments and frameworks
Support the continued development of the M&S environments in ways that directly impact MTSI’s ability to execute current and future contracts
Develop physics-based models to represent system performance and behaviors
Assist in performing verification and validation of simulation inputs, outputs, and results
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program with 2 years completed, or master's program at an accredited university, pursuing a degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or similar field
0+ years of experience with mission-level or campaign-level modeling and simulation and Operations Analysis principles
Strong performance in courses relevant to applied mathematics, physics modeling, critical thinking, data analysis, and/or statistics
Strong communication and ability to work in a team
Self-motivated and able to work independently with help from experienced team members
Willingness to learn and adapt in a multidisciplinary environment
U.S. Citizenship required
Eligibility and willingness to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred
Knowledge of modeling and simulation methodologies and tools (e.g. AFSIM, Suppressor, EADSIM)
Ability to execute a study plan, considering both high-level goals and low-level details of the analysis
Experience in programming with Python, MATLAB, C, C++, Java
Experience with object-oriented programming and principles
Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulations and related statistical methods
Some experience with Unity game engine and C# coding language
Knowledge of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, Mercurial, etc.)
Secret clearance or higher
