Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards
Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and network performance
Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and establish quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of code quality
Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and technologies that can enhance our software architecture
Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation, including design specifications, architectural diagrams, and technical standards
Qualification
Required
8+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
6+ years professional experience with a Master's Degree or equivalent education and experience
6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and network architecture or Cloud Deployments
Proficiency in Java, Redis, Lucene Indices, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs and Network Connectivity
Cloud Implementations – particularly Azure and GCP
Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.) and distributed systems
Proven experience leading technical teams and projects. Able to coach younger / less experienced developers as well as create a good working relationship with offshore developers
Preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
