Director, Government Business Development
Ascencioné is an established manufacturer of mission-critical electrical and control systems for military tactical vehicles. The Director of Government Business Development will drive revenue in the Military business by expanding the company's footprint within existing vehicle programs and serving as the primary interface between Ascencioné and DoD program, sustainment, and contracting organizations.

Responsibilities
This role owns strategic Defense customer relationships, manages complex programs, and converts technical capabilities into short and long-term revenue. Responsible for identifying, shaping and winning strategic Defense opportunities that align with our mission-critical safety systems. Develop and execute the federal business development strategy, capture planning and requirements shaping for our military advanced electronic systems
Identify and pursue new programs, RFQs, and long-term contracts leading opportunity development from discovery through contract award
Establish strong relationships with senior government and defense executives, program managers, and technical leaders
Collaborate closely with key leaders such as technical, and product teams to align government requirements with company innovation roadmaps and current/future products
Build and manage a robust, balanced pipeline of short-term and long-term growth objectives with an average size of $100M+ solicitations at various stages of the capture lifecycle in federal mission and technology programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Engineering, Business, Sales or related technical field; or a comparable combination of education and military experience
Proven ability to win new business, single award multi-million dollar contracts in a private, public, government or military environment with engineered or custom products
15 years of strong business development, capture planning, and/or program management within the federal market, including both DoD and civilian agencies
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in federal business development, a strong understanding of electronic systems, and a proven record of building lasting relationships with senior government and industry stakeholders
Established network within DoD, Civilian Agencies and Defense Tier 1's. Experience working in DoD program office, military logistics/sustainment officers, prime capture managers or contracting specialists who have moved to industry a plus
Direct experience supporting military or defense programs. Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB assemblies, and manufacturing processes a plus
Thorough understanding of business practices in industry: IATF, ISO, FAR/DFARS, ITAR, OTAs, IDIQ, and military customer-specific requirement experience
Strong leadership and team management with exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills
