Staff Accountant

LHH is partnering with a local investment firm in their search for a Staff Accountant/Accounting Associate. The role involves processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and collaborating on financial operations and special projects.

Responsibilities

Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner, including verification, coding, and entry into the accounting system
Prepare and process vendor payments (checks, ACH, wires)
Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and ensure all payments are properly posted
Manage vendor onboarding, maintenance, and ongoing relationships; assist with year‑end 1099 filings
Support cash flow monitoring and cash management activities
Partner with executive assistants on hybrid expense allocations
Collaborate with team members on financial operations and special projects, including data compilation for budgeting and forecasting
Track and manage philanthropic grant communications, processing, and reporting
Coordinate with external service providers, including:
Technology support (hardware, software, applications)
Insurance coverage and annual renewals
Employee onboarding and benefits administration
Assist with annual state compliance filings and insurance audits
Provide support on special projects (e.g., system or software implementations)

Required

Minimum 3 years of progressive finance experience with exposure to operational accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Exceptional attention to detail

Strong work ethic and a growth mindset
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, close‑knit team environment

Preferred

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Salesforce, and other business software solutions preferred
Experience in a family office environment is a plus
CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification is a plus
