Senior Tax Associate
CFS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join their collaborative and growing tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tax engagements while being supported by experienced mentors and provides a clear career growth path toward management.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
Assist with tax planning, research, and consulting for a variety of clients
Collaborate with team members on complex engagements to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Communicate directly with clients to request information, explain tax matters, and resolve issues
Research technical tax issues and prepare supporting memoranda
Support managers with tax projections and year-end planning
Help train and guide junior staff accountants
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and deadlines
Qualification
Required
CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. MST is a plus
3–5 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory services
Solid knowledge of individual and business tax concepts
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem) and Microsoft Office Suite
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
