The Davis Companies is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support key accounting operations with a focus on transitioning FP&A accrual responsibilities into the Accounting function. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

Responsibilities

Support the transfer of FP&A accrual activities to Accounting, including process ownership, documentation, booking, and optimization
Prepare reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger systems
Prepare recurring and non‑recurring journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis
Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist the Accounting team in identifying and implementing process improvements
Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 5 years of corporate accounting experience
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

CPA license preferred
Public accounting experience strongly preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
