Responsibilities
Process, verify and post invoices to customer accounts
Create and send invoices to customers daily
Enter shipments into accounting systems for billing and maintains related files
Reconciles cash receipts and posts to customer accounts
Monitors customer accounts and contacts customers for overdue payments
Works with Controller to set up collection plans with customers when needed
Investigates and resolves billing issues, payment discrepancies and unauthorized deductions by obtaining and verifying information with other departments when needed
Performs bank reconciliation and balance cash/accounts receivable activity with general ledger daily
Backs up Accounts Payable Specialist when needed
Assist the Controller with the annual audit preparation and audit process
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of four plus years of accounting experience
Strong computer skills, including using Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions and volumes
