Responsibilities
Edit and polish content created by IDs and SMEs to improve clarity, structure, tone, and overall quality
Strengthen writing while preserving the original intent, voice, and instructional goals
Go beyond basic proofreading to improve flow, coherence, and engagement
Ensure consistency in style, terminology, and formatting across deliverables
Identify gaps, redundancies, or opportunities to enhance content effectiveness
Collaborate closely with IDs, SMEs, and project stakeholders to refine content
Apply editorial standards and style guides consistently across projects
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Copy Editor, Content Editor, or Writer/Editor
Strong writing skills with the ability to refine and elevate existing content
Experience working with educational, instructional, or curriculum-based content preferred
Excellent command of grammar, syntax, and style
Ability to work with content from multiple contributors and align it into a cohesive final product
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Preferred
Background in education, instructional design, or learning content development
Experience collaborating with SMEs and instructional teams
Familiarity with style guides (e.g., Chicago, APA, in-house editorial standards)
