Responsibilities
Monitor accounts receivable aging and take proactive action on overdue accounts or disputes to ensure timely collection, including daily review of orders on credit hold
Support and help develop the capabilities of our Credit & Collections outsourcing partner to ensure strong performance and collaboration
Assist in onboarding new customers by evaluating customer creditworthiness through financial analysis and credit reports for both domestic and international customers
Support the Credit Manager in setting and reviewing credit limits for new and existing accounts across multiple regions
Prepare and maintain accurate credit files and documentation in compliance with international credit laws and company policies
Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and finance teams to balance credit risk with business growth objectives
Actively partner with cross-functional teams while learning and supporting the order-to-cash process
Assist in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures for multi-country markets
Prepare AR/Credit monthly metric reporting with the ability to analyze and provide insights for leadership
Provide backup support for the Credit Manager and AR cash posting activities, ensuring accurate payment application while contributing to strategic credit initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferred
OR Associate's degree combined with a minimum of 8 years progressive relevant experience
Minimum 5 years in credit, collections, or accounts receivable, required
Strong ERP systems experience required (SAP preferred)
Proven success in leading and developing a team, required
Ability to build networks and collaborate outside the organization within shared groups
Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement
Assertive, with excellent negotiation skills and ability to perform under pressure
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to engage customers and stakeholders professionally
Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and compliance in credit reports, contracts, and policies
Decisive decision-making skills for credit approvals, setting limits, and negotiating terms
Leadership mindset with team development skills; acts as a change agent with a global perspective and customer focus
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office products
Ambition to grow and lead within the organization
Preferred
Credit-related Certifications (Collections, Credit, and International) a plus
Exposure to international/global AR processes, strongly preferred
Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry preferred
Familiarity with trade promotion management systems and their integration with AR is a plus
Knowledge of international credit laws and trade compliance is a plus
