Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including AP/AR, General Ledger, and Job Cost Accounting
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, cash flow reporting, and variance analysis
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with operations leadership
Manage year-end closing, annual audits, and tax coordination
Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
Enhance accounting systems, reporting tools, and automation strategies
Provide financial guidance to leadership for strategic decision-making
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting accountability and growth
Support contract review, vendor negotiations, and operational cost management
Oversee fixed assets, inventory, WIP adjustments, and revenue recognition
Partner with HR on benefit reporting and compensation compliance
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in job cost reporting for project performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
Strong understanding of GAAP and construction financial workflows
Advanced Excel competency and familiarity with ERP systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-departmentally
Proven track record improving processes, controls, and systems
Preferred
CPA or CMA strongly preferred
Experience in construction or job-cost accounting highly desirable
