Responsibilities
Review vendor invoices and verify appropriate coding prior to payment
Identify misclassifications and ensure expenses are properly aligned to general ledger accounts
Analyze account codes and expense categories to support accurate financial reporting
Resolve vendor discrepancies and assist with vendor inquiries as needed
Document findings and maintain clear records supporting reclassifications and coding decisions
Partner with department stakeholders to clarify expense categorization and policy alignment
Provide guidance to accounts payable team members on best practices for account coding
Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support
Assist with internal and external audit requests by compiling documentation and responding to inquiries
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4–7 years of accounts payable and/or general accounting experience
Strong understanding of general ledger structure and account classification
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Experience working with accounting systems used in professional services environments
