Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers
Apply core engineering knowledge to guide and support engineering personnel
Oversee systems and structural design activities
Evaluate and apply engineering principles related to shear, bending, compressive and tensile stresses, combined stresses, material yield and ultimate strengths, and safety factors
Utilize knowledge of machine capabilities and manufacturing processes to support daily engineering work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Extensive experience in mechanical, structural, and hydraulic design
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong interpersonal and team-based communication skills
Experience in problem solving and technical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience using 3D CAD and finite element analysis (FEA) tools
Customer-facing experience
Project management and organizational skills
Engineering management: 7 years
Mechanical design: 7 years
FEA: 7 years
Ability to Commute: Waco, TX 76716
Ability to Relocate: Waco, TX 76716: Relocate with an employer provided relocation package
Preferred
Extensive experience in product development for mobile and material handling equipment
Professional Engineer (PE) license
