Parks & Facilities Maintenance Technician
The City of Pilot Point is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its residents. They are seeking a Parks & Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep and improvement of city parks, athletic fields, and municipal facilities, including landscaping, irrigation, and minor repairs.

Responsibilities
Maintain City parks, recreation areas, rights-of-way, and athletic fields through mowing, edging, weed control, and debris removal
Perform landscaping duties, including planting, pruning, watering, and sod installation
Maintain athletic fields by marking lines, repairing turf, and preparing fields for games and events
Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems
Perform preventative maintenance on park structures, playground equipment, and walking trails
Perform general building maintenance and repairs for City-owned facilities, including community centers, municipal offices, and public restrooms
Troubleshoot and conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and maintaining restroom fixtures
Perform basic electrical maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, resetting breakers, and troubleshooting minor wiring issues
Assist with HVAC maintenance, including changing filters, checking thermostats, and performing routine inspections
Perform painting, drywall repair, flooring maintenance, and minor carpentry as needed
Inspect and maintain security and lighting systems in public buildings and parks
Perform custodial tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash in city facilities
Operate and maintain equipment, including mowers, tractors, power tools, and maintenance vehicles
Conduct safety inspections of parks, playgrounds, and buildings, reporting hazards and completing necessary repairs
Assist with special events setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment
Respond to weather-related and emergency situations, such as storm cleanup and ice removal
Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and maintenance materials
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Must have a valid Texas Class C driver's license
Knowledge of park maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility repair techniques
Ability to operate and maintain ground maintenance equipment, hand tools, and light machinery
Understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations for facility and outdoor maintenance
Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor facility issues
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with city employees, supervisors, and the public
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Preferred
Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
