Responsibilities

The primary function of this laboratory position is the design and execution of bioanalytical experiments toward characterization of protein reagents used in clinical immunoassay formulations
The successful candidate will be capable of skillfully and independently conducting multiple classic analytical techniques primarily applied to protein biomolecules
A specific requirement of the position includes expertise in analysis with electrophoretic methods, liquid chromatography methods, various immunoblotting techniques, and assay methods with microtiter instrumentation
The candidate must be capable of functioning within a cross-functional team involved with new immunoassay product development and able to anticipate critical assay development needs from biological molecule analysis
Ability to critically process analytical data and results with attention to detail is a necessity
Further skill will be required for interpretation and summarization of data from an array of analytical methods for diverse stakeholders, as well as design follow-up experiments where applicable
The position will require excellent team-working and adaptability competencies as well as strong technical communication skills, both in written and oral form
The candidate must also be effective with timely and accurate record-keeping and communication of laboratory work
Proven experience with standard bioanalytical methods used to characterize protein biomolecules is required
Past demonstration of an ability to develop or optimize analytical methods to new applications and troubleshoot instrumentation or method problems when they occur is also a requirement
Knowledge of characterization of test method APCs, as well as execution of analytical methods under established operating procedures would benefit the candidate’s integration into expected work activities
