Responsibilities

Has responsibility and oversight for all day-to-day facilities operations across News Corp’s New York headquarters
Set standards and expectations for a consistently high-quality, first-class workplace environment that supports business continuity and employee experience
Develops and executes planned preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, assets, and equipment
Provide governance and approval oversight for routine and reactive maintenance, repairs, and minor capital works, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
Serve as the senior on-site facilities representative with landlords, property managers, service providers, contractors, and consultants
Directly manages vendor performance against agreed service levels, driving accountability, continuous improvement, and value for money
Maintain ownership of key service contracts, fixed asset registers, and facilities-related documentation
Partner with internal stakeholders and subtenants to ensure an integrated, business-aligned facilities management approach
Hold overall accountability for compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA and NYC building codes
Ensure facilities safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work are implemented, monitored, and continuously improved
Oversee safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed
Own and maintain emergency response from a facilities perspective, incident management, and business continuity procedures for the site
Act as the on sight facilities escalation point during incidents, coordinating with building management, security, and emergency services
Provide on-call support as required to ensure operational resilience
Own day-to-day operational facilities budgets for the site, ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and cost efficiency. Oversee expenditure tracking and accurate financial reporting
Review and approve vendor proposals, purchase orders, and invoice payments in line with delegated authority
Provide oversight of space planning, office moves, reconfigurations, and minor refurbishment works
Ensure governance of space data, as-built drawings, and asset registers
Lead facilities-related projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule
Provide senior leadership for the 1211 Facilities Team, including in-house and outsourced resources
Set clear objectives, performance standards, and development expectations for the team
Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement

Required

Minimum of 7+ years' experience in facilities management or a related discipline, including leadership responsibility for complex office environments and building services
Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
Proven experience managing vendors, budgets, and service contracts at a senior level
Strong leadership, accountability and communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Google Workspace)
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Working knowledge of NYC building and safety codes
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Flexibility to respond to facilities-related issues outside standard business hours
Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
