Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Unity Behavioral Services is seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to oversee and provide clinical supervision for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs. The BCBA will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure compliance while training staff and monitoring client progress.

Responsibilities

Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
Observe and collect data on client behavior
Perform skill assessments using tools like the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, or Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales
Review and analyze assessment data to identify target behaviors and skill deficits
Design individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Develop skill acquisition programs tailored to the client’s needs
Oversee the implementation of behavior intervention plans by registered behavior technicians (RBTs) or other staff
Provide direct supervision to RBTs, including observing sessions, giving feedback, and modeling techniques, maintaining supervision requirements
Conduct training sessions for staff and caregivers on behavior intervention strategies and data collection methods
Regularly review and analyze data collected on client progress and behaviors
Adjust intervention plans based on data trends and effectiveness
Prepare progress reports summarizing data and treatment outcomes for clients, families, and other stakeholders
Hold regular meetings with clients, families, and other stakeholders to discuss progress and adjust goals
Address any concerns or questions from clients and caregivers regarding the intervention plans
Complete and submit necessary documentation, such as progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information in the required timeframe
Coordinate with other professionals involved in the client's care, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators
Respond to and manage any crisis situations that arise, ensuring the safety of the client and others
Implement and train staff on emergency procedures and de-escalation techniques
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions, interventions, and client progress
Prepare and submit reports required by insurance companies, regulatory bodies, or other agencies
Stay up to date with continuing education requirements to maintain certification
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality and security of all client information

Required

Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
3-5 yrs experience with current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Experience in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and supervising ABA programs
Demonstrated skills in developing/designing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
Engage in professional development opportunities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and trainings
Ability to maintain and secure sensitive information
Demonstrates high standards and adherence to the ethical guidelines and standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Ability to communicate intricate details to key stakeholders on a timely basis
Ability to manage schedules and appointments for client sessions and supervision
Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
